Can you believe it's already time to place your 2011 CTS Yearbook order? The 7th & 8th Grade Yearbook Staff, under the direction of Mrs. Denise Treadaway, has been working hard to create the 2011 Cheyenne Yearbook.

Given the current economic climate, and based upon last years' sales figures, the Yearbook Committee has decided to purchase only a limited amount of books for this year. WARNING: We did run out last year, so order your yearbook early to ensure that your child has one come May 24th. Presale orders begin today, 2nd Quarter, through the Jostens website, at a cost of $30 per book. This price is effective through December 31st (end of Q2). The price will increase by $5 beginning in 3rd Quarter on January 1st so order your yearbook today!

2011 Amazing Race is Around The Corner

GET OUT YOUR 2011 CALENDAR AND BE SURE TO SAVE THE DATE FOR CHEYENNE'S SECOND ANNUAL AMAZING RACE FUNDRAISER AT THE PHOENIX ZOO ON APRIL 15th!!!

It is time to start gearing up for Cheyenne's largest fundraiser of the year. Last year's event was a tremendous success, bringing $30,000 directly back into Cheyenne's classrooms! The committee is already hard at work to plan a terrific event this spring but WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW.

Sponsorship Opportunities - We are seeking sponsors to help underwrite the cost of The Amazing Race 2011. This is a terrific opportunity to support our classrooms while garnering great visibility for your business! Please note that 100% of the sponsorship will go directly to the Cheyenne PTO and is therefore a tax deductible advertising expense. There are three levels of sponsorship, starting at $250.00.

T-Shirt Logo Contest - Calling all of our creative K-8 Cheyenne students to create and submit original artwork that conveys their vision of the Amazing Raceat the Phoenix Zoo 2011 logo. The winning logo will be printed on hundreds of t-shirts worn by our teams of students at the Amazing Race event.

All artwork must be black and white (no color), no larger than 8 ½ by 11, and include "Cheyenne Traditional School" and "The Amazing Race at the Phoenix Zoo 2011" somewhere in the design. Your child's name and teacher must be clearly printed on the back of their submission. Students can get their creative juices flowing this weekend and begin submitting their t-shirt logo to the school office on Monday, 1/31 through the contest deadline of Friday, 2/4.
