Event / Activity

Event Description

Amazing Race at the Zoo

Held for the first time in 2010, this is AMAZING event that has the kids grouped in teams by class and compete against each other by solving puzzles for bragging rights and prizes.

Held in April, it is also our only fundraiser that we hold during the year if we meet our "Fair Share" fundraising goals. The proceeds go to technology or other large purchases that directly benefit our students in their class rooms.

Volunteers needed: 4 or 5 Chairpersons and then 20 key committee members. The day of the event more volunteers are needed as chaperones and stagers.

Artist in Residence

An Artist comes to work with either 3rd, 4th or 5th Grade depending on the year to work with the students over a 2 week period.

Volunteers needed: 1 Lead Coordinator

Volunteers needed: 1 Lead Coordinator to solicit and collect ads for the PTO Directory of Members as well as coordinates the layout, printing and distribution of the Directory to the PTO Members.

Evening Under the Stars

Evening Under the Stars" is a wonderful, cultural, mid-year open house and fundraiser. Families are invited to come view the kid's artwork displayed in the cafeteria, meet with the teacher's in the classrooms, have a picnic dinner at school, and listen to the school bands

Membership

Last year we tried "Fair Share Fundraising" for the first time. Instead of having our kids sell things, we instead asked for a set amount per child.
